Project mission: Building new capacity and tools for protected area staff to manage efficiently their areas and visitors, building new visual outlook for parks, improving parks’ potential to serve visitors and getting them inspired of the richness of Lithuanian nature and culture therein

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the administrative capacity of the State Service for Protected Areas (SSPA) under the MoE and Protected Areas Administrations (PAA) in the area of implementing the policies and procedures for nature conservation by implementation of EU Directives and international conventions

The staff of BEF Lithuania participated as key-experts for the project component on Training and study tours. In frame of this component a number of seminars/trainings were organised for the PA staff as well as three study tours visiting the protected areas and learing from its expreicnes. Poland, Slovakia, Checz Respublic, Austria, Germany and UK was visited during the study visits.
