Baltic Coast Dialog
The aim of the project “Baltic Coast Dialogue: Establishing a Network of International Stakeholders for the Effective Protection and Restoration of the Marine and Coastal Ecosystems of the Baltic Sea” is to establish a multinational network of stakeholders from environmental organisations, fisheries, agriculture, tourism, science and authorities, who could provide relevant contributions to the implementation of effective protection and restoration measures as well as sustainable fisheries management in the marine and coastal ecosystems of the Baltic Sea.
Project activities:
- Openly and constructively address critical issues of Baltic Sea protection and develop short recommendations, statements, discussion papers or guidelines based on the consensus of all stakeholders via interactive workshops.
- Strengthen communication and cooperation between German, Lithuanian, Polish and Swedish stakeholders to generate a general understanding of common perspectives for an effective protection and restoration of our marine and coastal ecosystems.
- Define goals and important next steps to ensure transnational protection goals in the coming years for Baltic Sea protection in Germany, Lithuania, Poland, and Sweden.
