Latvijos Baltijos aplinkos forumas kviečia Lietuvos jaunimą į tarptautinę stovyklą Biržuose, vyksiančią š. m. (2010 m.) vasarą. Jos tema - vanduo ir jo svarba visiems. Detalesnė informacija pateikiama žemiau anglų kalba, nes ja ir bus bendraujama stovykloje.
Join the youth summer camp in Biržai!
We invite you to join the first educational summer camp which will be held in the frame of cross border project “Water quality improvement measures within cross-border Lielupe river basin management” supported by grant from Norway through the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
It is a great chance to raise the knowledge about the Lielupe River basin, to learn about different aspects of water, ecology and water resource management; to participate in practical tasks concerning water, to raise awareness about the green life style and to meet other young nature activists.
The summer camp will be held in the Lithuania, Biržai Regional Park, June 27 – July 2, 2010. Participants will be 30 young people living in Jelgava, Bauska, Pakruojis, Biržai and Pasvalys districts (15 from Latvia and 15 from Lithuania).
We offer:
lectures about the water related issues
outdoor activities and laboratory research
visiting water companies and field trip by boat
leisure and free time activities
fully covered accommodation and meals
free educational materials
Requirements:
age 16-17 ( secondary school, class 10-11)
greater interest and knowledge about water related issues
good English
availability on the camp days
good communication skills and responsibility
passport and written parents’ permission are obligatory
If you are interested please submit the CV and the essay “Why it is important to improve water quality in the Lielupe river basin– Nemunelis, Mūsa, Mēmele?” to the e-mail address dace.vitina@bef.lv until April 26. The essay: 2-3 pages, Times New Roman 12, space 1.5 and it is advisable to add photos related to the topic.
The project partners’ commission will choose the appropriate candidates which will contacted individually. Results will be published in the web pages www.bef.lv and www.zemgale.lv.
