CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Analysis of hazardous substances to aquatic environment in wastewater, surface water, sewage sludge, and sediments within the LIFE project LIFE “Baltic Action for Reduction of Pollution of the Baltic Sea from Priority Hazardous Substances (BaltActHaz)”

PURCHASE OBJECT

1. Preparation and delivery of bottles for samples
2. Analysis of samples of wastewater, sewage sludge, surface water and sediments.

TASKS

1.    To prepare bottles for samples of wastewater, sewage sludge, surface water and sediments considering analytical methods used for the substances to be analysed (as listed in table 1). Contractor will provide detailed list on specific samples and substances to be analysed in those samples.
2.    To deliver those bottles to Lithuania Environmental Protection agency (EPA) (Department for environmental investigation, Gostauto str. 9, Vilnius, Lithuania) according the timelines agreed with EPA in advance. If the transportation of samples requires thermo boxes, bottles should be delivered in thermo boxes.
3.    To analyse the samples for the substances or substance groups presented in table 1 in wastewater, sewage sludge, surface water based on provided detailed information on what substances to be analysed in which specific samples.

Sampling and analysis will be done in 2-3 rounds. In total it is foreseen 400-700 analyses. Sampling is planned in September- October 2010. Analysis must be carried out and results delivered not later that 10 December 2010.
